Staff at Miller’s Children’s Hospital, has devoted her career to
caring and advocating for underserved children and families.
In naming Dr. Nicholas for the honor, Senator
Lowenthal highlighted her tenure as the Project Director for the
Long Beach Alliance for Children with Asthma.
"I have known Elisa for several years and have
marveled at her dedication to children with asthma. Her energy and
focus to serving the most vulnerable in our community are
unparalleled and I am proud to name her as my Woman of the Year,"
Lowenthal said in making the announcement.

answer when it comes to children’s health. I look forward to
continuing a strong partnership as we take on the fight for cleaner
air in our region," said Lowenthal.
